In many forums the quote tags can also take other attributes (such as person quoting, post id etc), but in Fass this seems to make the previewer not recognise the tags. Can this be changed so that quotes with attributes are recognised?
Great program, BTW.

Here is a sample, BTW:
[ quote author=ead board=gamsat thread=1122426322 post=1126741391 ]

I know what you mean. The problem is these extra quote tag properties differ between bb software so making them all work properly would be difficult.
Fass isn't intended to mimic every bbcode function of every bb software, it's simply meant as a convenient environment in which to compose basic forum posts quickly and easily. That said, I'll keep this issue in mind.

It wouldn't need to recognise the attributes themselves, just still recognise anything like [ quote * ] as a valid quote tag. At the moment it is not recognising the tag at all.

Seconded. Also, if including all the different formats is too much, perhaps you could make it a user defined preference. The user could define an expression with wildcards, and decide how that would be displayed.

Come on, I just joined to make this exact point and it still hasn't been addressed? This should be easy!! If the tag starts with [ quote then it is a quote tag, doesn't matter what other attributes are in there.
Could this be fixed, please?!?!?

Fass doesn't need to be able to edit attributes in the QUOTE tag, just allow then to be copied in or types in, just as long as the renderer will show them as a quote when they are included.
Why no response? Come one, please?
